Pills and Care
Hardware development for a connected pill dispenser designed to improve medication management through secure dispensing, real-time monitoring, and optimized motor control.

Pills and Care develops electronic solutions to help patients manage their medication and enable healthcare providers to monitor treatment remotely. For their next-generation intelligent pill dispenser, they needed to integrate multiple hardware modules and functionalities into a more robust, secure, and manufacturable design.
Focus designed and developed the hardware architecture for the next generation of Pills and Care's intelligent pill dispenser.
The solution centered around an ESP32-WROOM SoC and integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, motor drivers, temperature and humidity sensors, case-opening detection, RFID-based access control, audio feedback, and power management.
The development included schematic design, component library creation, PCB layout for the main and auxiliary boards, prototyping, and hardware validation.
