02
About the problem
Pills and Care faced challenges in developing a next-generation pill dispenser that integrates multiple functionalities while maintaining security and user-friendliness. The existing solution needed to be more robust and secure to prevent unauthorized access, accurately dispense medication, and provide real-time data transmission. The complexity lay in designing a hardware system that balances advanced functionality with ease of manufacturing and cost efficiency.
03
Working Methodology
Focus approached the project using a systematic design and validation process. Beginning with an initial consultation, the team worked closely with Pills and Care to understand their requirements. The methodology included schematic design, component library creation, layout for both the main and auxiliary boards, and extensive prototyping. Agile principles guided the project with regular reviews, ensuring alignment with client needs. Technologies like Eagle CAD were used for detailed design, and prototypes were tested to validate hardware performance and reliability.

04
The Solution
Focus developed a complete hardware solution centered around the ESP32W32ROOM SoC, incorporating Wi-Fi connectivity, motor drivers, and sensors for temperature, humidity, and case opening detection. The design also included an RFID reader for secure access, audio feedback, and power management to ensure consistent operation. The hardware was tailored to be easy to manufacture and integrate, with a focus on minimizing errors and enhancing patient safety.
