SoundShell needed an audio console system that was easy to deploy, maintain high channel counts, and allow real-time plugin integration with minimal latency.
The challenge was to design a distributed system where multiple units could seamlessly connect and operate without a central control unit.

Focus collaborated closely with SoundShell, guiding them through understanding the system’s complexities and setting realistic project timelines.
The team developed six key hardware components, including digital, analog, connectors, power supply, AC filter, and switch boards, all controlled by a SoM running embedded Linux.
Iterative design, testing, and extensive client feedback were integral to the development process.
